MacBoston 18 Truck Caisson
MacBoston 18 Truck Tiller
This refurbished 1936 American LaFrance fire engine is designed to carry the coffin of a departed firefighter. It can be transported anywhere in New York State by means of a truck and trailer designed for this Caisson. Any department or family can request the use of the Caisson which would be made available at no set cost.
The 1936 American LaFrance fire engine was generously donated to MacBoston by the Jonesville Fire Department. The Caisson was beautifully refurbished by Wilde Fire Equipment Sales, Mayfield, NY as a donation to MacBoston 18 Truck. The Family of the late F.F. David LaForge FDNY Ladder 20 (9/11) donated the purchase of a truck and trailer to transport the caisson.
The tractor drawn 100ft ladder is a 1980 American LaFrance. It is available for parades and static events. We can fly a garrison American flag from the ladder.
The right side of the truck has the names of the fallen NY Firefighters since the organizations inception. The left side of the truck has beautiful murals to honor our fallen heroes.
Modifications and upgrades were beautifully done by Wilde Fire Equipment Company and Arrowhead Equipment, Inc.
